Who We Are
Established in 1984, SkillsPlus Limited (SkillsPlus) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides individualised, client focused services in employment, training, education, disability, and youth programs.
By providing a mix of government, non-government and self-funded programs, SkillsPlus has supported communities with a focus on disadvantaged and marginalised sectors.
As an organisation committed to providing the highest of quality services, SkillsPlus ensures that the resources needed to provide the community and individuals with the required service are implemented and maintained and that continuous improvements are achieved in all areas of operation.
In December 2013 SkillsPlus amalgamated with fellow not-for-profit organisation, BRACE Education Training and Employment Limited (BRACE).
BRACE Education and Training shares many synergies with SkillsPlus, and has traditionally offered education, training and employment programs and services in regional Victoria to a diverse range of clients since 1973. As part of that amalgamation BRACE will be the deliverer of Nationally Recognised Qualifications in SE Metropolitan Melbourne.
Together, SkillsPlus and BRACE Education and Training will stand out as leading community development organisations by initiating and supporting programs that enhance growth and contribution in our community.
Our Board, leadership teams and all of our staff have a vision to make SkillsPlus and BRACE dynamic, innovative and collaborative organisations with a reputation for high quality services. Whilst this strategic vision presents an opportunity for development of a culture of high performance we need to ensure that we remain connected to our local communities and to local people.
We will continue to focus our resources and expertise on making a difference in the lives of disengaged young people, people with disabilities, long term unemployed and migrants.
