Qualcare is a statewide service providing twenty four hour personal care and support to people in their homes and local communities. Our team are focused on providing service excellence by offering maximum flexibility and choice in the development and delivery of services.
Qualcare is a division of AQA Victoria Ltd
Our aim is to achieve service excellence by providing people with a disability, injury or illness and their families with flexible, consistent and individualised care. Planning and services are delivered in environments and communities of choice, in order to support people to maintain independent lives.
At AQA Qualcare we accept responsibility for our actions. We work within legislative frameworks and standards as set out by acts of parliament, peak bodies and funding organisations.
We act honestly and transparently and treat people with respect. Our behaviours and actions are fair and consistent and in the best interest of our clients. Our aim is to be a role model to our peers.
Services are provided within the context of the life of the recipient and their individual circumstances.
Our commitment is to provide flexible, reliable, quality services to people and to continuously improve the way services are delivered.
We support people to achieve their goals using a collaborative approach to planning and support. We work in partnership with people to maintain their communities.
We believe that everyone has the right to participate in activities of their choice in their homes and communities. That is why it's important to us that our services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. In fact, people are involved in all the key decisions about how our services are delivered to them, when they will happen and who will provide them.
From the beginning, service planning is completed in partnership with people to ensure that they are at the centre of their program. Information is provided to people to support them to make decisions about what services will look like, when they will happen and who will provide them.
As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of individuals, the Qualcare team ensures that the person receiving services is able to involve anyone that they choose such as family members, medical or allied health staff in the planning process. We recognise that people come from diverse backgrounds, therefore cultural and linguistic needs of the individual are also addressed so that planning and communication is relevant. Communication is provided in formats that are accessible dependent on individual circumstances.
Participation and feedback from people receiving services is highly valued by the Qualcare team, because we are committed to ensuring continuous improvements to services. We actively look for opportunities in our daily work and throughout the year to listen to what people tell us about their service, and develop new and improved ways of providing quality support.
There are a number of ways that people can contribute including the Qualcare Advisory Group, annual client satisfaction surveys, using the complaints process, service reviews, disability support worker appraisal, participation in the selection of new disability support workers and self rostering.
