As a CS 11, you’re a senior professional with additional deep and/or broad specialised knowledge. As such, you’re viewed as expert in a given field and provide expert advice and assistance to senior managers and other professional staff. Due to your experience, you’ll undertake strategic organisation business systems and policy development work at the expert level, manage changes in the organisation’s risk and compliance framework, and develop and implement new methodologies based on sound commercial and business practice.
You’ll also undertake projects and/or develop services using professional knowledge and experience. Again, due to your extensive experience and skills, it’s likely that you will manage a small number of professional staff, function-specific projects, or a corporate service function in an organisation.
Qualifications and experience
There are job roles in the CS job family where formal qualifications and practice registration are a pre-requisite. Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. To be considered for a CS 11 role, you’ll generally be required to have a relevant tertiary qualification and a post-graduate qualification in a related specialist area. You will also have a broad understanding of the organisation you work for or are interested in working for, the disability sector, professional practices and internal/external operating environments.
