NDIS in Victoria
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) roll-out is bringing a massive expansion of the disability sector.
It is estimated that the workforce in Victoria will grow by up to 18,000 new jobs over the next three years.
The NDIS is a once in a generation reform that will improve the lives of people with disability.
The NDIS is designed to deliver greater choice and control for people with disability and their families. And that means it’s bringing in a greater variety of roles, as well as more interesting and rewarding work for people employed in the sector.
Victorian Trial Sites and roll out
The NDIS first became available in the Barwon Trial Site from July 2013.
Full details of the NDIS rollout in Victoria have been finalised. We now have a guarantee that the NDIS will cover the whole of Victoria by 1 July 2019.
