Corporate Services (CS) 8

People in corporate service roles in the disability sector use professional business skills and experience to assist the organisation to operate efficiently and effectively.

As a CS 8, you’re a professional corporate services staff member undertaking routine non-complex professional work in areas such as Finance, IT and HR. You have a professional understanding of some specific areas of the discipline and will work on straightforward components of policy development, planning and implementation.
 
You’ll also have an understanding of relevant legislation, industry and business practice. As a part of your role, you’ll also work with business areas to address straightforward compliance issues. You may lead a corporate and service support team.
 
Qualifications and experience
 
There are job roles in the CS job family where formal qualifications and practice registration are a pre-requisite. CS 8 roles generally be required to have a relevant formal tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience, as well appropriate practice registration within the respective discipline field. As a CS 8, you will need to be able to demonstrate specific skills, knowledge and capabilities obtained through your qualifications and experience in your given discipline.
 
Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. As there is always more to learn, you’ll also be expected to undertake regular professional development to increase your knowledge and skill set.
