Corporate and Service Support (CSS) 6

People in CSS 6 roles use a range of practical administration skills and experience to assist and support service delivery teams in disability organisations to operate efficiently and effectively. Role titles within the CSS job family include:

  • Rostering Coordinator
  • Administrator
  • Procurement Administrator
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Personal Assistant
  • Receptionist
  • Regional Administrator

As a CSS 6, you’ll have a senior administrative and support role in a team or organisation. Due to your experience, you may supervise a team and provide performance feedback to other individuals within the team or work area. You’ll have a significant practical knowledge of your work area, technology systems and services provided by the company.

A key part of your role will be ensuring customers are appropriately supported and their needs are addressed. You’ll also ensure that team members possess appropriate knowledge of the range of services that the organisation provides, and that appropriate customer outcomes are achieved in accordance with the organisation’s policy and standards.

Qualifications and experience

You don’t need to worry if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, as you’ll almost certainly have other skills, experience, capabilities and qualifications that are extremely useful and that will help contribute to having a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. Having the right attitude and a desire to make a difference are two other important qualities that you’ll need as a CSS 6.

Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. However, the range of qualifications or training and experience that align with a CSS 6 are equivalent to a Vocational and Educational Training Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree with experience, or a 3 year degree.
