Corporate and Service Support (CSS) 5

People in CSS 5 roles use a range of practical administration skills and experience to assist and support service delivery teams in disability organisations to operate efficiently and effectively. Role titles within the CSS job family include:

  • Rostering Coordinator
  • Administrator
  • Procurement Administrator
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Personal Assistant
  • Receptionist
  • Regional Administrator

As a CSS 5, you’ll be highly experienced in providing administrative support to corporate and service areas. You’ll have an in-depth knowledge of one or more key aspects of work and as such will be a vital reference point for others. Due to your experience, you may lead, coach or guide other staff, including training others in workplace equipment and technology.

You’ll have a comprehensive knowledge of the supports and services available and therefore will be able to work with both internal and external customers to explore and resolve a variety of complex issues and requirements.

Qualifications and experience

You don’t need to worry if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, as you’ll almost certainly have other skills, experience and capabilities that are extremely useful and that will help contribute to having a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. Having the right attitude and a desire to make a difference are two other important qualities that you’ll need as a CSS 5.

Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. However, the range of qualifications or training and experience that align with a CSS 5 are equivalent to a Vocational and Educational Training Diploma, Advanced Diploma or an Associate Degree.
