This is an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic, proactive and skilled individual to become an integral member of a close-knit multidisciplinary team. Located within the Prairiewood team which comprises of allied health professionals - including a speech pathologists, physiotherapists & occupational therapists.

Our therapy services are based around a family-centred philosophy, in which all team members collaborate to work towards the goals identified by our clients - children and adults with cerebral palsy or other disabilities and their families. The successful candidate will require a good understanding of this approach.

The role will see you assist in implementing therapy and skill development programs developed by our allied health professionals. This means you'll be working independently, but under general supervision. This aspect of the role will see you provide support and basic training to parents and carers, enabling them to incorporate therapy and skill development activities into their everyday activities and routines.

This role is a full-time permanent position. You will be a confident communicator, as you'll be expected to develop great working relationships and partnerships with your colleagues, clients, their families and circles of support. You'll also be building and nurturing connections in the community on behalf of your clients.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Cert III or IV in Allied health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated skills in building effective working relationships & written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated understanding and skill in using computer applications such as Microsoft office suite and client databases
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current NSW driver's licence
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain prior to joining the organisation.
  • Current First Aid or are willing to obtain within 3 months of joining CPA.
