Cerebral Palsy Alliance provides family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment and support for people and their families living with cerebral palsy and other neurological and physical disabilities. Fundraising and community support is critical to helping us achieve our mission.

About the role:

The Event Manager is responsible for managing the development and delivery of high net worth, quality fundraising events that align with the organisation's strategic direction and support the achievement of CPA's fundraising targets.

You will be responsible for:
  • Management of designated events to ensure smooth, efficient, quality operation
  • Inform the development of the organisations event portfolio and to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Proactive relationship development, nurturing and management of event committees, participants, volunteers and other stakeholders
  • Prepare sponsorship proposals; collaborate with the partnerships team to secure event sponsorship; manage ongoing relationships with sponsors to build long-term sustainable relationships
  • Working with the broader fundraising team to develop retention plans and develop event communications content
  • Generating and managing data to maintain integrity; and report on insights / trends in performance
  • Onsite management of staff and volunteers
  • Source, secure and manage third party supplies, develop and agree scopes of work, contract documentation to ensure the delivery of cost effective, quality solutions
  • Execute communication strategies to drive engagement and maximise fundraising
  • Analysis and reporting of campaigns

Key role challenges:
  • Identifying and managing relationship opportunities and coordinating activities to ensure maximum mutual benefit for Cerebral Palsy Alliance and fundraising participants.
  • Managing competing priorities across multiple events and campaigns.

We seek a self-motivated individual with:
  • Experience in event management, project management and/or account management
  • Experience in event-based, peer-to-peer and/or community fundraising roles
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and provide financial reporting
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Expertise in digital marketing and using key online fundraising platforms an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and results orientated
