About the Role
We are seeking a full time Team Leader to provide leadership to our #myLaunchpad program in northern Tasmania.  The position will be based in our Burnie office, and is focused upon ensuring that the individual needs of young people in residential care are met, whilst maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the relevant programs.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including families
  • Provide supervision and support to direct reports
  • Build a positive team environment through the demonstration of good  interpersonal skills
  • Model appropriate conflict resolution, & positive behaviour management skills.
  • Plan and facilitate regular team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Skills & Experience
  • Diploma in relevant Social & Community Services qualification 
  • Experience of working in a leadership/management role in a human services organisation.
  • Experience in working with individuals, families and/or groups from a strength-based culturally appropriate perspective.
  • Commitment to the values of dignity, respect, inclusion empowerment, confidentiality and strength-based practice.
  • Experience in maintaining & providing service user and staff confidentiality
  • Ability to think creatively and use initiative, to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Registration.
