Avivo has exciting career opportunities within our Wheatbelt Personal Helpers & Mentors Program.
We are looking for a team of 4 part time workers supporting people with severe and persistent mental health issues to be based around Wongan Hills, Merredin, York and Northam.
The positions are funded until 30 June 2018 with possibility of extension beyond this date.
The hours and locations are flexible for the right candidates.
You will be required to:
- Listen to and create opportunities and activities that meet the interests and goals of people.
- Play an important part informing and assisting people with NDIS funding
- Ensure that individual support is provided to a person that meets their recovery journey goals and is strengths based and led by the person wherever possible.
As a Peer Worker you will be required to use your lived experience of a mental health issue and personal recovery openly. You will also use your lived experience to inform and contribute to staff learning, service understanding, and delivering person-led supports.
In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A minimum rate of $24.15 per hour is on offer, plus 9.5% super along with the option of our salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum, accrued annual and personal leave. We actively support the ongoing training and development of our staff.
