CASS Care Ltd is a multi-disciplined community services provider active in the provision of a comprehensive range of social welfare services, catering the needs from cradle to seniors, including disability services, child care, home ageing, residential aged care, settlement and health, vocational and many more community-based services.
Owning to the services expansion, we are currently looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to join our disability services team across Sydney Metro, including North West, South East, Inner West, Northern and Eastern suburbs. The successful applicants will be offered casual work across a 24/7 roster in a variety of community settings.
The position is responsible for providing direct support to people with disability in their daily living activities. In addition, Disability Support Workers are required to assist clients, by adhering to a bunch of Individual Plans that are designed to maximize positive outcomes and achieve their individual goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Applying a person-centred approach when working with clients to explore and resolve a variety of their complex needs and expectations;
Dealing regularly with internal and external professionals and related organisations;
Providing and assisting with personal care, household chores, community access and maximizing client’s independence at home and in the community; and
Working collaboratively with team members and share information and ideas.
Being motivated to apply a sustained disciplined approach to maintaining high quality care and straightforward support for clients;
Demonstrating good oral and written English command and fluency in spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and another dialect is an advantage;
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability specilisation) or relevant qualifications or working towards;
Valid driver’s licence and having own vehicle; and
Current First Aid Certificate and valid police check certificate.
Discount child care is available at long day care, before and after school care and vacation care services operated by our organisation.
