To create an inclusive place where Aboriginal people of the Twofold Bay Region are proud of their heritage and are part of the local economy, and to end the cycle of poverty in the Aboriginal community and create a real future for our children.
Twofold Aboriginal Corporation exists to provide the best possible services and support to enhance the lives of the Aboriginal Community members residing in the Twofold Bay region. Through our actions, we aim to reduce poverty, increase understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture, and help the disabled, frail and aged remain living within the community and contributing to it.
What We Do
To fulfil our mission, TAC undertakes a number of activities which are detailed here.
TAC currently has 10 three and four bedroom houses that are available for rent to Aboriginal community members who are low income earners. These houses are available at below market rent for this purpose.
TAC aims to review housing needs of the Aboriginal community and increase the numbers and types of accommodation available over time to meet these needs.
Aged and Disability Care
TAC has funding agreements to June 2015 to provide aged and disability care under the Commonwealth and State HACC programs and the Commonwealth HCP (formerly CACP) program.
TAC aims to continue operating these programs well into the future to service the needs of the community in a culturally appropriate manner.
