St George and Sutherland Community College (SGSCC) disAbility is committed to providing a range of quality vocational, accredited and leisure courses and programs to cater for the life-long learning and development needs of the community.
In operation for over 30 years, SGSCC provides a range of person centred programs and courses for people with disability, funded by the Department of Family and Community Services, Ageing Disability and Home Care.
SGSCC regularly hires Support Workers for community participation, centre based and individual community based programs, life choices and active ageing. They are also building a database of workers who can work on an individual basis with the people they support, who have moderate to exceptional support needs.
Support Workers employed by SGSCC need to be energetic, motivated, good communicators, creative, fun, fit, flexible and team players. They also need to have the ability to think outside the square and a passion for working in the field.
SGSCC offers traineeships, free community college courses, a community setting, modern personal care equipment, a community garden, lots of variety in the role and additional special leave to staff.
