Nextt is a provider of community-based aged care, mental health, disability support, transitional care places and veterans services in Queensland, Victoria and NSW.  We support individuals in managing a complex range of support needs including personal and home care, social support, respite, nursing care, allied health and community inclusion services. Nextt provides care and services to some of the most vulnerable within our communities. 

Nextt’s consumers include frail older people; people from non-English speaking backgrounds; veterans and war widows; people who have disabilities; people who have a terminal illness; patients returning home post acute care; people who have a mental illness or diagnosed psychiatric illness; and consumers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We work with consumers, acting as their advocates as needed to improve their quality of life and we have a strong track record in respecting each individual’s rights.  We engage consumers from all service areas in focus groups to assist us to evaluate our practices and to report where improvements could be made.

Nextt programs are based on recovery principles; we identify the individual’s strengths and abilities, focus on these and create genuine opportunities for self-determination that contribute to their quality of life. Staff develop strong and positive partnerships with consumers, their carers and families with a focus on supporting clients to continue living a lifestyle of their choosing independently and safely. At all times, the services delivered by Nextt are at the highest standards, delivered by carers with appropriate qualifications and training, in an environment of continuous improvement and partnership. To support consumer care and services,

Nextt resources include after hours emergency support provided by Nextt staff.  This means that we can respond to, and act on any emergency situation directly without recourse to an external provider – which we believe leads to better consumer outcomes.  We have established a 1300 number which enables consumers to call Nextt for the cost of a local call and to access the support they need at any time.
