Hunter Prelude Early Intervention Centre provides individualised programs for children from birth to six years of age with a development delay or disability and their families. Hunter Prelude aims to provide positive outcomes for children and their families
Hunter Prelude is a not for profit organisation working in partnership with families to assist children (birth – 6 years of age) who have a disability or developmental delay.
Hunter Prelude has been providing high quality early childhood intervention services for over 30 years, with early identification, prevention, education and therapy for children and their families in the Lower and Upper Hunter areas including Cessnock, Maitland, Dungog, Singleton, Scone, Muswellbrook and Merriwa LGAs.
The 2 centres at Kurri Kurri and Singleton provide play based, family-centred programs that respect the unique nature of each family and their culture; accept the family as the most important influence in the child’s life and recognise that the family is the constant in the child’s life as the experts on their child’s strengths and needs.
Hunter Prelude works in partnership with families and service providers, to offer the most appropriate services for each family based on their individual strengths and needs.
Hunter Prelude programs also reflect recommended practices in early childhood intervention.
