Home Care Service of NSW
The Home Care Service of NSW (HCS) manages, administers and delivers in-home support services to frail older people and people with a disability and their carers, to help them live independently in their own homes and communities.
The HCS delivers services to more than 52,000 clients a year and is the largest single provider of home and community care services in NSW. There are 43 Home Care branches delivering services to clients across the state. This includes eight specialised Aboriginal Home Care branches which offer a wide range of services to help Aboriginal people live independently.
The HCS also provides in-home support for people who need a high level of personal care through the Attendant Care Program and the High Needs Pool. We work in partnership with the Motor Accidents Authority to support people with spinal cord injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents.
HCS operates as a statutory authority under the administration of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.
