Disability South West Incorporated

Disability South West is a leading not for profit community based and managed organisation providing support services for people with a disability, their carers and families living in South West Sydney. Disability South West has been providing outstanding care and support to the community for over 30 years and continues to advocate for improved funding and services for the local community.

Disability South West provides social support programs for people with a disability including people with an intellectual disability, people with an Acquired Brain Injury and all other types of disabilities. We also provide a living skills program providing opportunities for people with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities to increase their skills and independence. Disability South West actively advocates for the community and we provide disability informal advocacy and information as one of our support services to the community.

Disability South West promotes services for children with a disability who also have challenging behaviors. Our leisure Link program offers opportunities for social and leisure activities for children who are often excluded from other services due to their challenging behaviors. We also are very proud of our NoahÔÇÖs Ark Toy Library, located at the Liverpool City Library.  It opens on Mondays and Fridays and every second Saturday of each month and is available to families who would like to borrow educational and developmental toys for play and learning.

The Disability South West team consists of the Management Team of the Chief Executive Officer and the Administration Team with the Administration Coordinator. Our programs are managed by dedicated Program Coordinators who oversee and work directly on the programs ensuring that they have an acute understanding of the needs of their programs at the grass roots. Assisting the Coordinators are equally dedicated Disability Support Workers. These team membersÔÇÖ roles are to support people with a disability on the programs while they access the community.
