Chinese Parents Association - Children with Disabilities

The Chinese Parents Association - Children with Disabilities Incorporated (CPA) is a non-profit, non-religious, incorporated charities organization established in 1988.  It had been endorsed as a deductible gift recipient by the Australian Taxation Office since July 2001.
CPA believes that people with disabilities, irrespective of color, race or creed, should be treated equally and rightfully enjoy a rich and meaningful life as far as possible.
ÔÇïThe overall management of CPA is the responsibility of the Management Committee which is formed by a group of parents with children with disabilities, affiliated members and ordinary members.
The Community Service Workers are CPA's staff who help in monitoring the projects and funding applications, promoting the services to the community, recruitment of volunteers, providing supports to parents (most of them are volunteers) and volunteers.
CPA offers various kinds of educational programs, social functions, seminars, sports and leisure activities, picnics and camping, and case work to the parents and their children with disabilities, and the community, especially to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (people from Asian countries).  Most of the services are run solely by volunteers, or professionals.
