Activ's services are provided across the Perth metropolitan area, as well as in regional towns including Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Kellerberrin, Manjimup and Narrogin.
Activ is one of WAs leading community benefit organisations and has been providing services and support to people with disabilities since 1951.
You may be surprised to discover the extent of the support structure we have developed to give people with disabilities. . . a better life.
What we do - At a glance
We provide homes to 250 people with disabilities, assist another 82 in their own homes and deliver respite care to 268 adults and children. We support 700 individuals through our Home and Community Care program and provide Intensive Family Support to 22 families.
We provide jobs to 1070 people with disabilities in Activ Business Services' Manufacturing, Speciality Packaging and Property Care businesses.
Through our Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Activ Pathways, we provide nationally recognised courses and qualifications, including Certificate I in Leadership Development, Certificates I and II in Horticulture and Certificate I in Manufacturing (Pathways), enabling participants to build on their work skills and increase opportunities for rewarding employment.
We provide Alternatives to Employment (ATE) programs at our nine People, Skills & Community centres to 250 people with disabilities across WA.
We transport 500 people daily to their workplaces and other venues throughout the State, with 25 bus runs.
We provide 550 people with disabilities the opportunity to experience holiday, leisure and adventure activities locally, interstate and overseas.
We salute our incredible volunteers who provide more than 57,000 hours of invaluable recreation, sitter and other support services for families and carers, each year.
We are joined by around 40,000 of our fellow West Australians in our annual fundraising event, the Chevron City to Surf for Activ.
We provide a large collection of information on disabilities at the Activ Library, as well as through our Parent Portal website.
