Give your opinion on ADHC’s new NSW disability law

Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) has drafted a new disability law for NSW and wants to know what you think about it.

The new law reflects international human rights standards and aims to make NSW a leader in recognising, upholding and protecting the rights of people with disability, during the transition to the NDIS and beyond.

It aims to balance people’s right to choose and control their own supports with the need to have safeguards which can protect vulnerable members of our community.

The public consultation period ends 14 February 2014. You can read the draft Bill and other related documents here: www.adhc.nsw.gov.au/dib.
