Corporate and Service Support (CSS) 4
People in CSS 4 roles use a range of practical administration skills and experience to assist and support service delivery teams in disability organisations to operate efficiently and effectively. Role titles within the CSS job family include:
- Rostering Coordinator
- Administrator
- Procurement Administrator
- Payroll Administrator
- Personal Assistant
- Receptionist
- Regional Administrator
As a CSS 4 and a skilled team member you’ll provide corporate and/or service support to different work areas within the organisation or be an essential resource for a small work group on a regular basis. A key part of your role will be undertaking service liaison/communication with internal and external customers to resolve complex problems.
Due to your experience, you fully understand the standard approaches and procedures involved in your work and you are able to accurately interpret complicated standards. You will provide coaching and feedback to less experienced staff. Plus you understand how to use a variety of equipment, systems and software used in the office and service environment.
Qualifications and experience
You don’t need to worry if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, as you’ll almost certainly have other skills, experience, capabilities and qualifications that are extremely useful and that will help contribute to having a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. Having the right attitude and a desire to make a difference are two other important qualities that you’ll need as a CSS 4.
Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. However, the range of qualifications or training and experience that align with a CSS 4 are equivalent to a Vocational and Educational Training Certificate IV.
