You’ll also understand basic organisational systems, procedures and services relevant to the role. As a part of your role, you’ll use communication and technology systems and equipment, such as phones and computers.
You will organise your own work and report on your progress and outcomes. Work within the CSS 2 role is largely repetitive, which will allow you to work independently, however you will also receive regular supervision.
Qualifications and experience
You don’t need to worry if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, as you’ll almost certainly have other skills, experience and capabilities that are extremely useful and that will help contribute to having a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles, however, having the right attitude and a desire to make a difference are two other important qualities that you’ll need as a CSS 2.
