Home Modification

A Home Modification Tradesperson helps construct modifications that have been identified by Occupational Therapists for clients, to enable them to continue living at home. These tasks may include access modifications (eg, ramps, handrail and doorway adjustments) bathroom and kitchen modifications, electrical modifications and modification of gardens to make them more accessible.

All home modification service provider employees, volunteers and sub-contractors must undergo a police check prior to commencing work.

Home Modification Tradespeople who carry out specialist work (eg, electrical wiring, plumbing, gas fittings, air conditioning and refrigeration) require a licence, including home modification building contractors.
