As an ES 8, you’re a professional team member with the knowledge and skills to deliver a variety of multiple and/or complex employment services under general professional direction. Your skills ensure that you can tailor services and develop strategies to meet specific jobseeker and employer needs.
 
You’ll also develop local plans and/or assist with planning and developing components of projects. It is possible that you may lead a team of staff, allocating caseloads, monitoring and coaching to achieve required outcomes and performance. 
 
Qualifications and experience
 
Even if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, you’ll certainly have other skills, knowledge, capabilities and transferable qualifications and experience that will support you to have a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. 
 
Each employer will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles in the Employment Services job family.  However to be considered for an ES 8 role, you’ll generally need to have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
 
You will demonstrate specific skills, knowledge and capabilities obtained through your experience in your given discipline. As there is always more to learn, you’ll also be expected to undertake regular professional development to increase your knowledge and skill set.
