As an ES 7, you’re developing the understanding and capacity to deliver components of employment service programs. You might be a new graduate in a relevant discipline. As part of your role, you’ll plan and schedule your own work independently, build and participate in local networks, and support other team members, sharing your knowledge and information. You may lead a small team of employment services staff and/or provide direct services to people with complex employment-related needs. 
 
Qualifications and experience
 
Even if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, you’ll certainly have other skills, knowledge, capabilities and transferable qualifications and experience that will support you to have a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. 
 
Each employer will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles in the Employment Services job family. However, to be considered for an ES 7 role, you’ll generally need to have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent knowledge and experience, or a 4 year degree with some experience. As there is always more to learn, you’ll also be expected to undertake regular professional development to increase your knowledge and skill set.
