As an ES 10, you’re a senior professional with comprehensive knowledge of standards and legislation applying to the delivery of employment services. A key part of your role involves evaluating service quality and effectiveness, contract compliance and business risks, and making and recommending changes/improvements.
Due to your experience, you’ll also effectively utilise complex stakeholder relationships, may plan and schedule services, allocate caseloads or projects, and ensure performance requirements, productivity measures and key performance indicators (KPIs) are understood and met by the team.
Qualifications and experience
Even if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, you’ll certainly have other skills, knowledge, capabilities and transferable qualifications and experience that will support you to have a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector.
Each employer will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles in the Employment Services job family. However, to be considered for an ES 10 role, you will generally need a relevant tertiary qualification plus significant and substantial experience in a specific discipline.
You might also have a post-graduate qualification in a related specialist area, and have good knowledge of the standards required through legislation and/or professional bodies. You will also be expected to undertake regular professional development to further increase your knowledge and skill set.
