Corporate and Service Support (CSS) 3

People in CSS 3 roles use a range of practical administration skills and experience to assist and support service delivery teams in disability organisations to operate efficiently and effectively. Role titles within the CSS job family include:

  • Rostering Coordinator
  • Administrator
  • Procurement Administrator
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Personal Assistant
  • Receptionist
  • Regional Administrator

As a CSS 3, you’ll provide administrative, corporate and/or service support to a variety of internal and external customers within a disability organisation. As such, you’ll need to understand standard practices and guidelines and be able to follow detailed and precise work procedures.

Due to your experience, you’ll be able to work with minimal supervision, knowing when to escalate issues.  You’ll check your own work and the work of others. Plus you’ll share knowledge and information with team members, and assist with the use of communication and technology systems and equipment.

Qualifications and experience

You don’t need to worry if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, as you’ll almost certainly have other skills, experience, capabilities and qualifications that are extremely useful and that will help contribute to having a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. Having the right attitude and a desire to make a difference are two other important qualities that you’ll need as a CSS 3.

Employers will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles. However, the range of qualifications or training and experience that align with a CSS 3 are equivalent to a Vocational and Educational Training Certificate III.
