What is required at a BE 8?
 
As a BE 8, you’re a professional team member with the knowledge and skills to deliver a variety of multiple and/or complex business enterprise services under general professional direction. A key part of your role may include ensuring that the stores, equipment and resources are available to deliver services or products that meet specific customer needs.
 
Plus you’ll develop local plans and/or assist with planning and developing components of projects. It’s possible that you may lead a team of staff, allocating work, monitoring, training and coaching to achieve required outcomes and performance indicators.
 
Qualifications and experience
 
Even if you don’t have formal qualifications or training in disability, you’ll certainly have other skills, knowledge, capabilities and transferable qualifications and experience that will support you to have a successful and enjoyable career in the disability sector. 
 
Each employer will specify qualification or equivalent experience requirements for particular roles in the Business Enterprises job family.  
 
However, to be considered for a BE 8 role, you’ll generally need to have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience. You will demonstrate specific skills, knowledge and capabilities obtained through your experience in your given discipline. As there is always more to learn, you’ll also be expected to undertake regular professional development to increase your knowledge and skill set.
