Student traineeships

A series of information sheets and resources have been produced to assist students, parents, schools and employers to find out more about School-based Traineeships in the New South Wales (NSW) disability sector.

A School-based Traineeship is an ideal pathway into the sector as students combine their Higher School Certificate (HSC) with paid employment, on-the-job training in a recognised vocation and Vocational Education Training provided by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The duration of a School-based Traineeship in Disability Work is around 2 years.
